AQU joins Palestinian Ministry of Health in highlighting the genetic and environmental risk factors of colorectal cancer

JERUSALEM | In a workshop held recently at Al-Quds University (AQU) to discuss the results of a study on the genetic and environmental risk factors of colorectal cancer in the Palestinian context, a joint research team from AQU and the Palestinian Ministry of Health explored the potentials for developing a mechanism that would contribute to the treatment and/or prevention of the fatal infection.

JERUSALEM | In recognition of ‘an outstanding scientific project’, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Al-Quds University, Dr. Ahmad Amro, has recently gained membership in the Arab- German Young Academy of Sciences and Humanities (AGYA). Selected on the basis of rigorous assessment, the prominent Al-Quds University researcher, whose membership will extend over the next five years, is the first Palestinian to join the German Academy which focuses its work on the exchange of research experiences.

JERUSALEM  -  In its continuing mission to cultivate scientific research skills to promote Palestinian society and in its ongoing endeavors to contribute to world knowledge, Al-Quds University recently worked in tandem with the Georgia Institute of Technology to organize an intensive workshop on academic research writing that aimed to provide Palestinian participants with cultural principles utilized for a western audience, introduce new strategies on producing academic writing, and inject confidence into the students so as to professionalize their research writing skills.

 “Academics at the Service of Khalil Al-Rahman” aspires to assist development in Hebron

JERUSALEM | Al-Quds University’s Department of Developmental Sciences, and  in collaboration with the Hebron Governorate, recently launched what they named “Academics at the Service of Khalil Al-Rahman”, a voluntary research group aspiring to aid and accelerate the development process and prosperity in Hebron. Created in the framework of the instructions of the President of Al-Quds University Professor Imad Abu Kishek, the research body seeks to serve the local community of Hebron and meet its developmental needs.
