Al-Quds University launches what it names Undergraduate Scientific Research Clubs

JERUSALEM | During a joint meeting organized by the Deanships of both Scientific Research and Students’ Affairs, Al- Quds University launched the "Undergraduate Scientific Research Clubs", as an endeavor to foster students' research skills. Students from various academic majors were invited to attend the informative session which aimed to promote scientific research and give students, who are considered an integral part of the academic process and research effort, the opportunity to contribute to this scientific endeavor.

The Palestinian Neuroscience Initiative Celebrates Women in Science on the International Women’s Day

In celebration of the International Woman’s Day 2018, and to emphasize the leading role of women in societal development, woman scientists at the Palestinian Neuroscience Initiative (PNI) at Al-Quds University were featured in a series of posts on the PNI’s Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/Palestinian.Neuroscience.Initiative). 

The PNI highlighted the key contributions of woman scientists in leading and building infrastructure for neuroscience research in Palestine.  These efforts represent one of the core missions of the PNI; the empowerment of Palestinian women in science.

A Medical Revolution: Developing a modern technique at Al Quds University to alleviate the side effects of cancer treatment 3/12/2017

A group of researchers have developed a new technology to treat cancer that can make a difference in reducing the side effects of cancer treatments by targeting cancer cells with electric impulses that open the cell wall permanently without burning the infected tissue and without compromising the blood vessels, ducts and the external tissues. For the patient, the reconstruction process will be better and faster.

Two researchers from Al-Quds University developed a mechanism to prevent Leishmaniasis in Palestine

Jerusalem| Researchers from Al- Quds University have developed a mechanism for the prevention of leishmaniasis by predicting the areas where human and animal diseases may spread in the skin and internal organs, by a study made in Libya which they could predict the areas where the diseases may spread in future periods by 2060. And this mechanism will be implemented in Palestine soon.

AQU Researchers Assess New and Innovative Technology to Grade Students’ Dental Work

A team of researchers from Al-Quds University, Faculty of Dental Medicine investigated the effectiveness of using an innovative technology, used for the first time in the region of the Middle East, in students’ dental pre-clinical work evaluation and grading. The accurate assessment of dental students' pre-clinical work is the most critical component of the dental education process. Thus, Al-Quds University, dental school sought to have an objective way to assess students’ dental skills by using a new software that has the ability to grade students crown preparation by compare students’ work to a gold standard work selected by the supervising faculty.
