Student Research Program

Program Structure

Student Research Program is developed at two levels:

1. At a college level: Student Research Club

Where core training on research like proposal writing, selection of faculty mentor, research project writing, research project implementation, reporting results and writing scientific articles are carried out under the supervision of a College Student Research Club/Unit.

At this Club, students are invited to participate in on-going faculty research projects or develop their own projects. Close mentoring and support are offered by assigned faculty mentors who help and support students to go through the research process. The club supervises students recruitment, training, faculty mentors assignment, technical support and as a liaison with the Student Research Program at the University level.

2. At a University level:

The student research Program at the University level  offers:

  1. Physical space for student researchers to work, meet and discuss their work with their peers
  2. Organize and provide training courses on research design, databases navigating, referencing, data handling and analysis, statistics, public speaking and scientific writing.
  3. Help in publishing, posters design, proof reading, ethical approval requests
  4. Digital library access
  5. Provide research projects financial support opportunities

In addition, Student Research Program offers the following opportunities:

A. Travel Grants:

The Program at the University level, in conjunction with the college student research Club, considers requests for student travel to present posters or oral presentations at scientific meetings.

B. Student Research Award

The Program at University levelrecognizes students who have made research an integral part of their undergraduate education. Student research Club/Unit fromeach collegenominates students. The nomination process and subsequent selection process provide feedback to the students regarding both the quantity and quality of their research efforts.

C. Annual Research Day:

Al-Quds University Student Research Daywill be held annually at the University and will provide an opportunity for students to present their research and creative accomplishment results in a public setting.

Students will present their results either by poster or by oral presentation. The Universitymay also invite students from other national and regional universities to participate.

D. Post-baccalaureate Research program

Student Research Program gives the opportunity for recent graduates to continue their research projects under the umbrella of the program and enjoy allits benefits. The program provides those students with a year-long, mentored research experience and the opportunity to propose for funding available for university students.
