The president of the research club at the Faculty of Dentistry at Al-Quds University Dr. Roaa Alawieh was qualified for the Young Exceptional Speaker (YES) competition finals, which Makkah Dental Conference organize in the United Arab Emirates. She and five other contestants competed for the first three places in March. It is noteworthy that Alawieh represented Palestine and competed with 24 other students and resident doctors from 24 Arab universities, including Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Alawieh's research studies sterilization protocols in dental clinics at Al Quds University. Also, she searches students' commitment to those protocols, and the way they deal with infectious and communicable diseases. under the supervision of the Dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Elham Kateeb.
This participation is part of Al-Quds University's vision to stimulate research for bachelor's students which improves their research capabilities to produce enriching research. Also, to compete regionally and internationally.
