Al-Quds University wins Best Research Award on Osteoporosis

Jerusalem| A team from Al-Quds University won the best research award on osteoporosis against several competing universities offered by the Palestinian Islamic Bank under the auspices of the Palestinian Polytechnic University, Dr. Akram Kharoubi and Prof. Hisham Darwish.

Dr. Akram Kharoubi won the prize for a paper on evaluating methods used to identify Palestinian women at risk of osteoporosis or fractures, with the assistance of several researchers such as Prof. Hisham Darwish, Dr. Elias Saba and Prof. Ibrahim Ghannam.

Dr. Hisham Darwish won the prize for research on the role of vitamin D and other risk factors in osteoporosis, accompanied by a number of researchers, Dr. Akram Kharoubi, Dr. Elias Saba, Dr. Khaldoun Badr and Prof. Reham Samoum.

In Fact, this is the second prize that Dr. Akram Kharoubi and his team from Al-Quds University have won. Last year, he received the first prize for research announced by Al-Najah National University on the practical paper on diabetes.

The winning team of Al Quds University was honored at a ceremony held at the Polytechnic University of Palestine.
