Jerusalem | Dean of Scientific Research at Al-Quds University, Dr. Elham Kateeb won membership of the FDI Public Health Standing Committee after anonymous vote by 200 international delegates in the closing session of the World Dental Congress in Madrid on August 31th 2017.
Dr. Kateeb’s achievement came after a short successful speech she delivered in the presence of the international delegates, the president and the board of the Federation. Dr. Kateeb spoke on her work and achievements and the way she employs her abilities in serving dental public health in Palestine and her plan on how to serve in the FDI public health outreach programs.
University President, Dr. Imad Abu Kishk, congratulated Dr. Kateeb, praising, in the meantime, the faculty and staff of the AQU for their great achievements locally and globally.
In the annual meeting of the FDI that was held in Poznan, Poland, in 2016, the Palestinian Dental Association PDA received the 2016 FDI Smile Award in the Innovation category for a project submitted by Dr. Kateeb. This project aimed to increase awareness about pregnant mothers and their infants’ oral health.
