Impact of antimicrobial stewardship programme on hospitalized patients at the intensive care unit: a prospective audit and feedback study

On 29 November 2017, Maher R. Khdour ,Hallak H, Aldeyab MA, Nasif MA, Khalili AM, Dallashi AA, Khofash MB and Scott MG published a new study in British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology titled "Impact of antimicrobial stewardship programme on hospitalized patients at the intensive care unit: a prospective audit and feedback study"

The article aimed to measure the clinical impact of antimicrobial stewardship programme (ASP) interventions on hospitalized patients at the Intensive care unit at Palestinian Medical Complex.

The results of this study demonstrated that the prospective audit and feedback programme was associated with positive impact on antimicrobial use, duration of therapy and length of stay.
