On December 2020, Elham Kateeb, an associate professor of Dental Public Health at the Faculty of Dentistry published with her students, Ruwa Alawiya from Al-Quds University and Abanob Riyad from Masaryk University, Czech Republic, a study titled “Knowledge and attitudes among dental students about COVID-19 and its precautionary measures: a cross-sectional study” in Journal of Oral Medicine and Oral Surgery (JOMOS).
The study aimed to evaluate students’ knowledge and attitudes about COVID-19 and its precautionary measures. The results of this study demonstrated that students in this sample are aware of COVID-19 and its precautionary measures. Adherence to new, stricter infection control protocols and periodic orientation of students to these protocols are ways to guarantee a safer environment for both patients and students.
