On ( 2020), (Mohammad Ahmad Thawabteh) published a new study in (a book: Traduction audiovisuelle: Réalité et perspectives) titled (The Significance of CAT Tools in Subtitling from the Perspective of Learning Journal). The article aimed elicit students’ responses on CAT tools utilised in student project works by means of confiding to journals, falling into two types: Journal for Translation and Journal for CAT tools. The results of this study demonstrated that in our analysis we have noted that CAT tools have shown considerable significance insofar our study is concerned. Subtitling is still fraught with difficulties and challenges as can be shown from the students’ journals. The journals mainly fall within the ambit of translation and CAT tools. Journals for translation reveal theory underpinning the whole notion of translation in a general sense and practice. That is to say, a theory-based practice seems to be more corroborating and diversifying. By the same token, Journals for translation highlight subtitle norms and the importance of respecting these in the course of subtitling, though some trainee translators sound singularly ill-equipped to deal with subtitling theories forcefully. Electronic dictionaries are vital CAT tools. Befuddled with acute differences among a range of equivalents in Arabic, electronic dictionaries could suffice to make appropriate decisions. Journal of CAT tools are particularly noteworthy. Subtitle Edit as a CAT tool seems to pose some challenges as the account puts it. By means of experiencing, exploring and discovering (Toury 1998), the students seem to leave no stone unturned of the translation problems and difficulties. The other CAT tool used is Subtitling Workshop 2.5 which seems to be somehow user-friendly. We dare to say that it is not entirely user-friendly as trainee translators go to great pains to use them. Finally, the Journal for CAT Tool shows many technical problems trainee translators are faced with; luckily, they have managed to overcome.
