Al-Quds Center for Measurement and Analysis (QCMA) is a newly established center located at the College of Science and Technology at Al-Quds University. Which was established by the university management for the main purpose of helping the industrial community and the Palestinian government in controlling the quality of the products that are consumed, imported and exported by the Palestinians on a daily basis.
QCMA is an entity expected to reach out many customers in Palestine. Providing analysis and training to students, researchers and staff from Al-Quds University, and other institutions in Palestine.
The center is the first licensed center in Palestine by the Palestinian ministry of health and accredited to analyze pharmaceutical, cosmetics and water. it is equipped with all major top-of the range instrumentation, required for different types of analyses.
MISSION
The primary mission of QCMA is to develop into a focal point for analytical applications and to applied research in the College of Science and technology by making our services readily available and to establish a strong link between the College, Government and the industrial corporate sectors in Palestine.
QCMA is Expected to delivery services for the researchers, government, drug stores and Pharmaceutical industry companies. Those services will include but not limited to analytical methods development, Dissolution profile studies, stability studies, physical, chemical and microbiological studies.
However, those studies do not include clinical studies.
NEAR FUTURE VISION
By building a compliant and internationally accredited functional facility to serve community, research and consultancy. And earning the international accreditation ISO 17025:2017, QCMA will formulate links with major Palestinian, regional and international entities in both private and public sector. Which in return will contribute in controlling the quality of the products sold in the domestic market and internationally.
ANALYSIS PROCEDURE
- The costumer must contact the Center to make sure that the center is capable of doing the analysis
- The Center will inform the customers, the number of samples needed,
- When dropping off the samples the customer fills out a test request form (attached) which includes the tests needed
- The center will send the customer a quotation via email,
- Once the customer gives his/her approval, the samples are analyzed
- After the analysis in finalized, financial claim is then sent to the customer
- Once the money is deposited in the centers bank account, the customer can collect the certificate of analysis
- The rest of the samples are retained in the center for a period of 6 months
