On campus workshop on “Endnote” software offers tips for research citation

JERUSALEM | Al-Quds University recently held an info training workshop on “Endnote”, a commercial reference management package used to manage bibliographies and references when writing a scholarly work.

The workshop was presented by Dr. Omar Hamarsheh, faculty member and currently chair of the Department of Biology at Al-Quds University, as part of the university’s interest in boosting scientific production.

Conducted in continuation of the university’s endeavors to keep its researchers up to date with the latest advances in world research, Harmarsheh’s workshop highlighted the practical applications of “Endnote’” as software for citing books, graduate theses, articles, essays, reports, and research papers. He emphasized the need for having access to “Endnote” and operating it successfully when citing, saving, or retrieving resources.

He gave his audience of faculty and students detailed explanations on this application, explaining its characteristics that allow a researcher to document and file his/her own research works instantly through connecting with accredited world data bases.

Dr. Omar Hamarsheh’s research endeavors are focused on infectious diseases, Leishmaniasis and Scabies in particular. His publications appear in peer-reviewed international journals.

Al-Quds University is a research intensive university based in Jerusalem, Palestine.  Established in the late 1970s, Al-Quds remains the only Arab university in the city of Jerusalem. It currently offers 105 undergraduate and graduate degree programs, taught through its fifteen degree-granting faculties and institutes.
